Commitment to take Nepal-China relations to a higher level: Courtesy meeting between Prime Minister Karki and the newly appointed Chinese ambassador

Kathmandu, February 15. His Excellency Chang Maoming, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, today paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki. In the meeting held at the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers at Singhdarbar, various aspects of Nepal-China relations were discussed between the two parties.

After the meeting, Prime Minister Karki welcomed the newly appointed ambassador and wished him a successful tenure. She said, "It is a pleasure to have a courtesy meeting with the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, His Excellency Chang Maoming, at the Singha Darbar today. I wish him all the best for his successful tenure. Also, I believe that Nepal-China friendly relations, cooperation and partnership will reach new heights during his tenure."

Likewise, Ambassador Chang Maoming said that he considered the meeting with Prime Minister Karki as an honor and said that he is ready to further strengthen Nepal-China relations. He said, "I feel honored to have a courtesy call on Honorable Prime Minister Mrs. Sushila Karki. I express my deep gratitude for her strong commitment to China-Nepal friendship and cooperation and for her good wishes."

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, the historic friendly relations between the two countries were reviewed, while the issue of advancing mutual cooperation at a faster pace and bringing the bilateral relations to new heights was emphasized. The ministry said that both parties expressed their happiness on the occasion of the meeting.

This meeting is expected to further strengthen the diplomatic relations between Nepal and China.
